Casa Sofia


  •  Casa Sofia  is located in the tranquil hillside community of Les Bassetes overlooking the charming authentic Spanish village of Adsubia, on the Costa Blanca in the province of Alicante Spain. It is equal distance, approximately an hour drive, between the cities of Alicante and Valencia. Fly into either city's airport, where you can easily rent a car.  A car is needed to enjoy your stay at Casa Sofia and explore the area.  
  • Within a 10-30 minute drive from Casa Sofia there are many things to do and explore.
  • Explore the many historic towns and villages, including Pego, Denia, Oliva, and Gandia, with historic churches, castles, restaurants and shopping. Participate in one of the many  Festivals and Fiestas celebrated in the local towns and villages throughout the year.
  • Of course there are the fabulous endless white sand blue flag beaches that stretch up and down the Costa Blanca. There are also 2 golf resorts nearby, La Sella and Oliva Nova. There are a  variety of outdoor activities to enjoy including hiking, biking, horseback riding, exploring caves or castles, and beautiful scenic drives through the mountains and valleys. 
  • There are many great restaurants in the area serving tapas, fresh seafood, and the iconic Valencian dish, Paella. The area has several Mercados, food markets, with the freshest fish, seafood, locally grown produce,  great cheeses, meats, and good inexpensive  Spanish wines.  
  •  With stunning panoramic views of the mountains, the citrus grove valleys below, and the Mediterranean sea beyond, Casa Sofia is the perfect tranquil  location to enjoy a relaxing holiday retreat with family or friends and explore the beaches and the vibrant coastline of Costa Blanca.

  • You will need a car to fully enjoy your stay at Casa Sofia and to explore the vibrant coastline of Costa Blanca. If you are flying into either Alicante or Valencia airports, there are many reputable car companies onsite to rent or hire a car for very reasonable rates.
  • We suggest you reserve in advance, and if you are not very experienced at driving a manual transmission, we suggest you upgrade to an automatic, making it easier to navigate the hills and mountains.
  • If you are not familiar with the area, we also suggest you upgrade to a car with a GPS. Driving here is not difficult, the roads are very good, and generally well signed. But for the first time visitor, a GPS will make your driving experience easier and more enjoyable.
  • From either airport, it is a little over a one hour drive to Casa Sofia, mostly on the AP-7 toll motorway. The toll is approximately 9 Euros.
  • When you book your stay at Casa Sofia we will send you specific written directions from either airport. When you arrive at Casa Sofia, our local Property Manager will greet you at the property. Contact details will be provided after you book your stay.
